Biography

Peng Cheng, PhD in Surgery (Joint Training at Harvard University), Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard University, Associate Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, Associate Chief Physician of Plastic Surgery, Aesthetic Medicine Attending Physician, Deputy Director of the Surgery Teaching and Research Office and Deputy Director of the Operative Surgery Teaching and Research Office, Third Clinical College of Central South University (Third Xiangya Hospital), Member of the Facial Rejuvenation Group, Plastic Surgery Branch, Chinese Medical Association, Member of the Wound Repair Group, Plastic Surgery Branch, Chinese Medical Association, and Vice Chair of the Facial Rejuvenation Branch, Hunan Plastic and Aesthetic Association.

He has long been engaged in clinical, teaching, and research work in plastic surgery. He specializes in the clinical diagnosis and treatment of skin injury repair, scar treatment, facial rejuvenation and anti-aging, and facial plastic and aesthetic surgery, as well as scientific research on tissue repair and regeneration and wound healing. He has led 5 research projects, including National Natural Science Foundation of China projects and research programs of the Hunan Provincial Health Commission. As first author or corresponding author, he has published more than 20 SCI papers in the field (including 12 in JCR Q1 journals and 1 Nature Index paper). He participated in research on “New Theories and New Technologies for Plastic Repair of Skin and Soft Tissues” and received the Second Prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award from the Ministry of Education.
